Recognising medical contributions across FSFHG
Medical staff across Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG) recently came together to recognise and celebrate the annual FSFHG Medical Staff Awards.
Recognising interns, registered medical officers, registrars and consultants, the awards acknowledge the unwavering commitment and determination of those who are leaders in their field when it comes to exhibiting exceptional leadership, wellbeing, educational, innovation, and patient care.
South Metropolitan Health Service Area Director Clinical Services Dr Mark Monaghan said the awards were highly competitive this year with 125 individuals from across the group nominated for four categories.
"It was an absolute pleasure to read through the huge number of nominations for this year's awards," Mark said
"Nominations drew on some common themes – being patient focused, striving for excellence and supporting those around them to do the same. There was a strong theme of these people, just by being themselves, contributing to a culture of kindness, both to patients and their colleagues.
"This confirms what we already know – that we have a dedicated and inspiring medical workforce, and it was lovely to see them recognised for their achievements."
