Parking and transport at Fiona Stanley Hospital
Parking
Fiona Stanley Hospital has 3600 parking bays (a mix of undercover and open air) available for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers. Car parks are located at both the eastern and western ends of the hospital.
Paid parking is available for visitors and patients in visitor car parks 1, 2 and 5. Car parks 1 and 2 provide best access to the main hospital and car park 5 provides direct access to the State Rehabilitation Service via a footbridge on level 2, and can also be used to access the main hospital.
Parking is charged at a rate of $3 per hour (or part thereof), capped at a maximum of $21.00 per day.
Motorbike parking bays are located in car park 1 only.

All street parking in and around the hospital site is managed by the City of Melville, please adhere to parking signs.
Subsidised parking
Patients who are required to attend Fiona Stanley Hospital over a prolonged period of time for the same treatment may be eligible for subsidised parking.
Hyperbaric, renal, cancer services and cystic fibrosis patients who have explored all alternate means of transport may be assessed for eligibility for subsidised parking. Patients approved for the subsidy will receive discounted parking. Speak to the treating nursing staff for further details.
Some concessions apply for the families and carers of long-stay rehabilitation patients who are in hospital for 10 days or more at the State Rehabilitation Service (SRS). For further information, please speak to the ward staff.
ACROD parking
ACROD parking bays can be found in every car park and are located closest to the pedestrian access ways. Please follow the disabled access signs to access the hospital.
Oversized vehicles (State Rehabilitation Service only)
Parking for oversized vehicles (higher than 2.2 metres) is available to State Rehabilitation Service patients and visitors on request in car park 8. Car park 8 is located off Robin Warren Road close to the rehabilitation facility. Please contact staff at the State Rehabilitation Service before you arrive at the hospital to arrange for access into the car park.
Transport options
Fiona Stanley Hospital is located 15 kilometres from Perth city and 9 kilometres from Fremantle. It is bordered by three major access roads – Kwinana Freeway, Murdoch Drive and South Street.
Public transport
The hospital is a 10-minute walk from Murdoch train station and buses run regularly between the station and the hospital.
Bus stops can be found on Barry Marshall Parade and Fiona Wood Road.

Pedestrians and cyclists
Fiona Stanley Hospital is easily accessed by a network of pedestrian and cycle paths. Bike racks are located outside the main entry and the eastern entry of the main hospital.
Patient set down
There are a number of short-term patient set down areas throughout the campus.
A patient set down area with direct access to the main entry is located off Robin Warren Drive and easily identified by the red coloured bitumen.
There is also a set down area in front of Transit Lounge at the east entrance of the hospital and outside the State Rehabilitation Service.
Transport for eligible DVA patients
Some veteran patients may be eligible to have transport arranged for them through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) (external site).

FSH Courtesy Buggy
Walking across the Fiona Stanley Hospital Campus can be a long walk for some people.
When available, the Courtesy buggy does a continuous circular route taking in all the car parks. To request the buggy, you can either:
- contact the Fiona Stanley Hospital Helpdesk on 6152 2222 and speak with the Outpatient Transport Supervisor.
- ask a passing volunteer
- use the call buttons located by pay machines and on the bridges from car parks 2 and 5.
To access a wheelchair
To access a wheelchair, it is recommended you are dropped off at the set down point at the main hospital entrance (near Jamaica Blue). Our staff and volunteers at reception will be able to assist you.
