Sexual health referrals

Sexual health referrals

We offer a wide range of multidisciplinary services to treat, screen and educate people about sexually transmitted infections.

Our South Terrace and outreach clinics operate on both a walk-in and appointment basis. Services at these our clinics include:

  • testing and management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses
  • contact tracing
  • counselling for sexual health related concerns (post diagnosis-of an STI such as herpes or genital warts)
  • telephone information
  • safe sex advice
  • community education
  • HIV chemoprophylaxis – PrEP/nPEP.

Please note that sexual dysfunction services are not offered.

Read more about our sexual health services and see our clinic times.

Urgent referrals

Please phone the clinic on 9431 2149 to discuss urgent cases with a clinician.

Urgent appointment requests can then be faxed direct to 9431 2035.

Routine referrals

Routine requests for outpatient clinic appointments should be submitted through the Central Referral Service (external site).

Please do not send patients with a referral to a walk-in clinic as the most appropriate clinician may not be available to see them. Please send the referral via the Central Referral Service and we will contact the patient to make an appointment.
