Sexual Health

Sexual Health

Our Sexual Health service offers a wide range of multidisciplinary services to treat, screen and educate people about sexually transmitted infections (HealthyWA).

This is a free service – a Medicare card is not required – and travellers are welcome at all clinics.

Our services include:

  • testing and management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses (Healthy WA)
  • contact tracing (Healthy WA)
  • counselling for sexual health related concerns (post diagnosis-of an STI such as herpes or genital warts)
  • telephone information
  • safe sex advice (Healthy WA)
  • community education
  • HIV chemoprophylaxis – PrEP/nPEP.

Please note that sexual dysfunction services are not offered.

South Terrace Clinic

Please do not attend if you have any respiratory symptoms.

Our clinics operate on both a walk-in and appointment basis. To make an appointment please phone 9431 2149 to speak with one of our sexual health nurses. Please note walk-in clinics do not operate full-time – please see opening hours below.

You do not need a general practitioner (GP) referral to attend our clinics. However, if you have a referral, please phone 9431 2149 so you can be booked to see the most appropriate clinician.

Opening hours

  • 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. To make an appointment please phone 9431 2149.

Walk-in clinic

  • 9:00am to 11:30am, Monday
  • 1:30pm to 3:30pm, Tuesday and Wednesday.

If you are attending our walk-in clinic, please note we encourage early arrival to ensure same-day review. On rare occasions, the clinic may close early if we reach our capacity for the day. Alternatively, please call to book an appointment for a timely review.

Outreach clinics

Three outreach clinics offering services to young people under 26 years of age are located at Armadale, Rockingham and Mandurah. These clinics are run in partnership with Headspace.

No referrals are needed to attend these clinics.
