Medical imaging (Fiona Stanley Hospital)

Medical Imaging provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to all patients across Fiona Stanley and Fremantle hospitals. Find out about radiology services at Fremantle Hospital.

Our services are accredited under the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme (DIAS) through National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA).

Services at Fiona Stanley Hospital

Imaging services at Fiona Stanley Hospital include:

  • computed tomography (CT) – learn about CT scans (Healthy WA)
  • interventional procedures
  • ultrasound – find out more about ultrasound (Healthy WA)
  • x-ray – read more about x-rays (Healthy WA)
  • magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) – learn about MRI scans (Healthy WA)
  • breast imaging
  • nuclear medicine – find out about nuclear medicine scans (Healthy WA)
  • bone mineral densitometry.

Accessing your results

Your imaging test results will be sent to your referring clinician via our digital imaging platform. In most cases, your results will be available and shared with you at your next hospital outpatient appointment.

If your results are not available, please contact your referring clinician. Please do not contact the Medical Imaging department, as medical imaging reports are not provided to patients or families.

  • Outpatient Service: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • Inpatient and Emergency Service: 24-hours a day, 7 days a week
