Inpatient maternity services

Inpatient maternity services

Our integrated maternity, gynaecology and neonatal inpatient services provide maternity care to low, medium and high-risk women and babies.

These services include:

  • maternity inpatient ward – Ward 3C
  • an induction of labour suite
  • birthing suites
  • a Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit
  • a Family Birthing Centre offering a safe and comfortable birth setting for healthy low risk women who anticipate a normal pregnancy and birth
  • lactation inpatient and outpatient service
  • inpatient and outpatient newborn hearing screening through the WA Newborn Hearing Screening Program (external site)

Our inpatient maternity services are located on level 3 of in the main hospital building – see the hospital map (PDF 1MB).

Maternity Wards 3C and 3D
Level 3, access via blue lifts on the main concourse

Birthing suite
Level 3, access via blue or orange lifts on the main concourse

Family Birthing Centre
Level 3D of the main hospital building

Level 3D Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit (MFAU)
Level 3D, access via blue lifts on the main concourse
