Gastroenterology

The Gastroenterology Service provides specialised tertiary level care for all patients with gastrointestinal and liver problems. A centralised waitlist for endoscopic procedures in the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) ensures the timely delivery of endoscopic services.

The service also provides education and training for doctors and nurses across Fiona Stanley and Fremantle hospitals. Clinical staff in the department are engaged in high quality research and clinical trials.

Fremantle Hospital patients invited to use the Patient Engagement Assessment Pathway (PEAP) will find more in the section titled 'Services at Fremantle Hospital'.
