Continence Service
Our Continence Service aims to provide excellent, evidence-based continence assessment and management to patients who suffer from urinary or faecal incontinence, and support to their families or carers.
Incontinence is defined as loss of bladder or bowel control and can be caused by many factors. Left untreated, it can significantly impact a person’s quality of life and lead to other physical health problems. Fortunately, evidence shows more than 70 per cent of patients can benefit significantly from very simple interventions.
Our teams operate in conjunction with many specialities including:
- urology, paediatrics, gynaecology and general surgery at Fiona Stanley Hospital
- urology and general surgery at Fremantle Hospital.
